It is with sadness that I, Lynn announce the sudden death of my husband on November 22, 2025.
We were married on October 15, 1966 and next year would have been our 60th anniversary. He celebrated his 88th birthday on September 5, 2025.
He is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Arthur Brown. He is survived by his sister Margaret (Bob) Reimer, his brother Jim (Lolly) Brown, his youngest sister Charlotte (Blaine) Raymond, his sister-in-law Faith Johnston and many nieces and nephews. George Charles Hart was a foster brother he had during his younger years.
He had many jobs over the years. Worked several years with his father at Modern Dairies, a gas station, a small restaurant and then Butler Brothers for many years. Following its closure, he worked for a printing company owned by Bent and Ann Sorenson and his last working years were with Shelmerdine Nurseries.
He loved animals and we had many strays over the years when we lived in Springstein. He really enjoyed our home there and spent many hours cutting the lawn in his riding mower and working in his vegetable garden.
A special thank you to Angela, Parminder, Shailesh, Neerag and all the other homecare workers we have had over the past two years and to Danielle Sullivan, Case Co-ordinator.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3K 1W3.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB RT OR3 or the Grace Hospital, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7.
