Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPeter Warrington Lemon
Following a sudden and brief decline in health, it is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Peter Warrington Lemon, with his family by his side on December 13, 2025 at the age of 76.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 50 years, Linda Nugent, children Laura Wetton (Steve) and Scott Lemon (Naomi), granddaughters Kiera and Alina Wetton, siblings Nancy Crozier (Ken) and Ted Lemon, among many loved in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his brother David, father Edward Lemon, and mother Jocelyn Lemon.
Growing up, Peter was always very active in sports, especially badminton and school volleyball and basketball. He was also active in Cubs and Scouts and became an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed his summers at the lake, especially sailing his sailboat. He developed a passion for golf at a young age and into retirement continued with his weekly Thursday night golf group at St. Charles Country Club.
Professionally, Peter was an anesthesiologist and spent most of his career working at the Grace Hospital with Linda. The nurses who worked with him would remember him as the one who often brought in treats to the O.R. and always used kindness (and a ton of humour) with his patients to keep them comfortable.
His wife Linda and his family meant everything to Peter. Whether it was Friday night dinners or a round of golf with Scott, family vacations to his favourite warm destination of Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, or attending school functions or dance concerts for his granddaughters; Peter always looked forward to the next event. Christmas and Easter brunches with the extended Lemon and Crozier families at St. Charles were always a highlight each year for him.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Intensive Care Cardiac Sciences at St. Boniface Hospital, as well as his family doctor and friend Dr. Al Schroeder for helping us through this very difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peter’s name to St. Luke’s Anglican Church or the United Way of Winnipeg.
A private family interment has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Peter will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in the spring.

Peter was a great friend and a great colleague, though we lost touch over the last few years. I enjoyed the journal club meetings at his house. He had a keen wit and a wonderful sense of humour. Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Jack Cannon (Friend and colleague) on: Jan 06, 2026

You were both good friends as you were in the residency program and then colleagues and neighbours over the decades. Linda - our sincerest sympathy. We don't have a cell to call and speak to you but we will donate to St. Luke's in Peter's memory. Love Bill and Elizabeth - Posted by: Drs. I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Peter. I worked with him at the Grace Hospital from 1998 until 2004. He was so kind to his patients and to all the staff in the operating room. He and Linda were also very generous and I have fond memories of Christmas parties at their beautiful home. Heartfelt condolences to Linda and your family. Linda and family. My sincere condolences in the passing of Peter. I have vivid memories of you and him when I worked as PAS billing clerk for both of you. His humor, personality, wit and friendliness were so special. I have thought of both of you over the years and wondered how your family was doing. I am so sorry that he will no longer be with you, but the wonderful memories of him, will keep him close to your hearts. You are in my thoughts and prayers and may Peter rest peacefully.
