Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON MARIE PETRIE
It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Sharon Marie Petrie on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 64.
Sharon was lovingly welcomed home by those who went before her: her parents, Sonia and Stan, her brothers, Gene and Stan, her cherished Baba and Gida, Marie and Jack Fostey of Gardenton, Manitoba, her uncles, Maurice and Nestor Fostey, her grandparents, Elizabeth and Alonzo Petrie of Nova Scotia, and her nephew, Brandon Petrie.
She leaves behind a circle of family and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Sharon will be deeply missed by her brother Darryl; her uncle and aunt, Walter and Joanne Fostey; her cousins, Darren, Brody, and Brennen Fostey, Deb (Alain) Fostey-Laliberte; her aunt Marcella Fostey; her nephews, Jason and Kyle Petrie; her nieces, Phylicia and Chelsea Petrie; along with the extended Petrie family of Eastern Canada. She is also lovingly remembered by her beloved cat Pandi, who brought her comfort and companionship.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace that Sharon is now reunited with her family, whom she missed so deeply, and that she is resting in love and comfort.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will be held at Glen Eden Cemetery.

Way back in the day girl you and I use to hang out. You lived on Robinson (the corner house) and I lived on Stella walk (the last house on the corner of Stella & Charles). I have fond memories of us walking to and from school during lunch hour, taking the long route so we could smoke our cigarettes (the ones I would sneak from my mom's cigarette pkg.) on the way back to classes. Life for you my friend back then, like many of us from the neighborhood, had it's difficulties. But somehow, we still found a way to get through them with laughter, friendship, and at times perhaps tears, anger and frustration. We were kids back then, we did the best we could with what we had. And as a result, some of us found that beaten path early on, while others found it later in life. It doesn't/didn't matter when you found it Sharon, all that matters is that ya did. May your soul rest in peace my friend. Linda Stewart - Posted by: Linda Stewart (Childhood friend) on: Jan 03, 2026

We are so sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. She was always very friendly and cheerful when we saw her. Remember her must from when she worked at Pals on Henderson Hwy. - Posted by: Frank & Marlene Hunter (Acquaintances) on: Jan 03, 2026
