EDWARD TED PORTER RIMMER 1930 - 2000 Surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Ted Rimmer, age 70 years of Winnipeg, went to his eternal rest. Ted was born in Jasper, AB, to parents, James and Elizabeth (nee Gray) Rimmer. He worked as an engineer with Inter City Gas for many years. He leaves to mourn his passing his two daughters, Shelagh and Wayne Roberts of White Rock, BC, Barbara and Allan Becker of Winnipeg; one son Alan Rimmer and partner Sylvie of Brunkild; three grandsons, James, Ian and Tyler Rimmer; aunt Jeanette Lewis and cousin Janet Lewis of Winnipeg. He is also remembered by Audrey Rimmer and Debbie Rimmer. He was predeceased by his wife Norma Joyce Rimmer in 1981 and by two grandsons, Brent and Evan Becker. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (4000 Portage Ave.) Winnipeg, with Rev. William Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michaels University School, 3400 Richmond Rd., Victoria, BC V8P 4P5.
