JACK ARTHUR LEINWEBER Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jack, our dearly beloved hsband and father, on Saturday, April 19, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Myrna, son Jeff (Jennifer) and daughter Alison, mother Adeline Leinweber, sister Janis Schemool (Bension) of Toronto, brother Donald, father-in-law William Stewart Sr. and brother-in-law Bill Stewart, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his father Paul Leinweber, mother-in-law Bernice Stewart and sister-in-law Heather Stewart. Jack was born in Winnipeg on January 28, 1948 and remained there for his entire life. He was employed by Manitoba Telecom Services as a systems engineer, retiring in January of 2003, after over 35 years of service. Jack was a loving, patient and gentle man, whose greatest joy in life was being with his family. He was always involved with a project, either his own or helping someone else. He received great satisfaction in building our family cottage from the ground up, hoping to complete it during his retirement. We will always have wonderful memories of our times spent there together as a family. The family would like to thank Drs. E. Bow, M. Rubinger, Oksana Maslyak, Tunji Satoye, Nancy Zacarias and all the wonderful staff of GD6 at the Health Sciences Centre and also the third floor treatment area at CancerCare Manitoba. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 11:30 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made towards the research of Acute Myeloid Leukemia, care of CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., R3E 0V9. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
