Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS IRENE STUBLEY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Doris Irene Stubley, who succumbed to cancer on Tuesday, October 21, 2003. Our mother was born in Basswood, MB on February 22, 1918. She married Edward Alfred Stubley on October 3, 1945 and took up residence on the family farm at Culross, MB. She was a longtime member of the Culross Copper Club and was very active in the community. She moved to Winnipeg in 1973 following the deaths of her husband Ted in 1971 and son Brian in 1973. She joined the Bethel Baptist Church and made many new friends, and once again she was kept busy helping to organize many church activities. She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Carole (Don) Mayers, Sheila (Jamie) Rawson; grandchildren, Sherri (Harry) Lamont, Dale (Heather) Jury, Jeff Jury, Tracy and Heather Rawson; great-granddaughters, Felicia and Meagan Jowett and Shayla Jury. A celebration of Doriss life will take place on Friday, October 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave., with Rev. Arden Boville officiating. Interment will follow in the Elm Creek Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family wishes to thank Kathy and all the other nurses and staff on the 4th floor of the Grace Hospital for the wonderful care they gave our mother during her illness.
