RENE DAVID PERRAS It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rene David Perras on Saturday at the age of 68 years. Rene will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished by his wife Judy; son David; daughters, Nicole (Rob Dyck), Darcie Yale (Robert), and Erin Alexander (Jim). Rene will also be dearly missed by his sister Esther (David), nieces, nephews and cousins. Rene was predeceased by his parents, sister Noella and brother Maurice. Rene was a devoted husband and father. He had a strong sense of family and he cherished his time with them. He will be dearly missed. Rene was born and raised in Manitoba. He pursued a lifetime career with Air Canada and retired as General Foreman of Technical Operations. Rene was a perfectionist and his keen attention to detail was instrumental in the restoration of Air Canada's Lockheed 10-A. In his younger years Rene was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, photography and time at the lake. After retirement, Rene immersed himself in his love of aircraft and pursuit of perfection by building model planes and honing his woodworking skills. Rene was also a passionate reader and collector of magazines. In the recent past Rene was faced with many obstacles in his health. He approached these challenges with a great faith in God, a positive outlook and courageous spirit. Thank you to all physicians, health care professionals, and friends who helped in his care. Prayers in Rene's memory will be held Tuesday, March 22 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Charles Parish, 395 St. Charles St. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the parish with a reception to follow. Rev. Fr. Terance McGrath officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Pallbearers are David Perras, Rob Dyck, Emil Kowalski, David Livingstone, Jim Rogers, Jim Alexander and Robert Yale. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
